Word Filled Wednesday

I needed this verse today. I needed to know God's thoughts were on me.

Another version says:

How precious are your thoughts about me, O God.
They cannot be numbered!
I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand!

Yesterday was a little harder than usual. I was running errands, with the girls in tow, and I ran into some old friends who were excited to ask how me and the baby were doing. (Over six weeks now, and it just never gets any easier to explain the baby is no longer with us.)

At the point they asked, I was trying to get somewhere, but in reality I was lost. The one person who had the ability to help me, instead made me feel insignificant and ridiculous. And so I was wandering around, dragging my 2 girls behind me, willing us to find the right building. Madeline was missing her usual nap and was causing quite the scene. My emotions were already boiling over and these friends' innocent inquiry caused it all to overflow with none other than my oh-so-familiar comrade - tears.

And once those pesky tears find their way into my day, I might as well throw in the towel (or tissue) because they are there to stay. For the rest of the day, the littlest things made me weepy.

And so, today was the perfect day for me to join in on Word Filled Wednesday. God wanted to remind me once again that I am not alone. His thoughts are on me and His thoughts are vast. He has not stopped thinking about me. He has not stopped thinking about my baby. He understands when my tears find their way down my cheek and He knows. He suffered His fair share of sorrows. He, too, lost a son....

Rebecca, I just want you to know that I too have a precious baby in Heaven. One I never had the blessing to hold in my arms, just my heart. I miscarried between my daughters. I ran the gammout of emotions. It has been 12 years ago now. I want you to know that I am praying for you today that you will be comforted as only God can comfort. Thanks for sharing this beautiful WFW today.

Bless you Rebecca and indeed God knows your thoughts and you with the hardship of your sweet loss
is in His heart and thoughts also as you grieve. I'm so sorry for the loss and the insensitivities of others. He is there to help you carry that burden. How perfect and comforting this precious photo with this verse meant for you as you heal! I saw you had"Bring the Rain"on your sidebar, may Angie's words and being able to share her story bring you some peace and her words bring you comfort!Have you heard her precious song? Time does not do the healing, but God's Word should help!Hold on to this verse Psalm 139:17-18.
I've been on the beach and have tried to count the sands(actually seashells in the sand)...not as sweetly as this precious little one
...they definitely are innumerable.
How lovely is the Father's immense love for you and all your little ones! Tears are good but don't let them flood the JOYS around you!

I'm so sorry you lost your little boy. We don't understand why these things happen. It makes us who we are today. It is great that you want to use your life and circumstances as an altar for God. I will pray for you as you travel this road you wouldn't have chosen for yourself, but you are on the right track with God beside you or carrying you when you need.

Your girls are adorable! BTW, there is a meme on Thursday, called Thankful Thursday. If you've never joined in, come give it a try. There have been times when I have been feeling less than thankful and participated, resulting in a change in my day!

Blessings my friend!

Thanks for visiting my blog and your sweet comments.

Dear friends,

Thank you for all your wonderful words, encouragement and prayers for me and for my family today. I am so overwhelmed and so incredibly moved.

Each person who took time out of their day to send me a note has inspired me to recognize yet again that God provides exactly what we need -comfort, encouragement, hope, peace - at just the right time.

Thank you for blessing me. Love, Rebecca
